Section Description
We are pleased to announce an extension in the deadline for the submission of the “Odawara Oxford Conference Special Issue” for publication in “Respiratory Physiology & Neurobiology”. The revised deadline is now October 15, 2023.
While we have been privileged to receive a select number of esteemed contributions thus far, we earnestly solicit further submissions from the distinguished members of the Oxford Conference Community. Your insightful contributions will provide a complete overview of the research presented at the Conference.
During our scholarly dialogues in Odawara, it was our aspiration to have at least one submission that mirrors each scientific session held at the Conference. However, we cordially extend an invitation to all attendees to submit articles, be they original research or review papers, that are either the oral or poster presentations made.
We request the submission of your manuscripts via the subsequent portal:
https://www.editorialmanager.
To ensure meticulous alignment of your manuscript for inclusion in the Special Issue, it remains imperative for you to select the nomenclature of the Special Issue during your upload process: “VSI: 15th Oxford Conference“. Thus, upon the initiation of your manuscript submission, you ought to first SELECT ARTICLE TYPE. It is at this juncture that you should opt for “VSI: 15th Oxford Conference” from the dropdown menu provided.
For a broader understanding of “Respiratory Physiology & Neurobiology”, you are encouraged to peruse the journal’s official portal:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/
We anticipate your esteemed contributions.
The Oxford Conference closed successfully on October 21, 2022. In this meeting, participants gathered from around the world, i.e., from USA, Japan, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Australia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, France, Poland, UK, Portugal, Mexico, and Spain. They met face-to-face for the first time in several years, discussed the latest topics from 8 AM to 9 PM every day for 5 days, and could have rediscovered the value of connectivity among neurons, glia and humans in the respiratory network. The discussion should have clarified what should be elucidated next for a better understanding of the mechanisms of breathing control.
